I visited the powder coating shop today (Powder Tech, Inc.). This process involves sand blasting the arch to remove all traces of rust. The first picture shows the green fusion bonded epoxy primer on the south pedestal as it is being baked in the oven. After priming, the finish coats will be applied and baked on.
